npower is one of the UK's largest generators of renewable energy. We already supply green energy to more than 50,000 homes via npower juice, our green electricity tariff and also to Wembley Stadium, Millenium Stadium and BT. We are also investing in the renewable technologies of tomorrow via the npower juice fund, as well as developing more wind and wave farms and other sustainable energy generation of our own.
But making energy is no longer just for big power companies. You can generate your own at home by having solar PV panels installed.
The service from npower and Ecofirst has been designed to make things easier for you. Our friendly team will cover every step of the process with you. Together, npower and Ecofirst will:
- Provide all the information you need upfront, including details of grants to help with the cost of installation.
- Install your solar panels, via our appointed contractor Ecofirst.
- Arrange to buy back any excess electricity you may generate and supply your home with green energy, from npower juice, to make up any shortfall, if you sign up to the npower buy-back scheme.
- Provide on-going support and service when you need it.
Before we developed our solar panels service, we talked extensively to customers to find out what they wanted. We discovered that while many liked the idea of solar PV panels, there was a lot of uncertainty about how to go about having them installed. Of those who already have solar panels, most said that the current process is very complicated with no clear link between installing panels, selling on any excess electricity and accessing an on-going service.
