npower's Spreading Warmth tariff
What is the Spreading Warmth tariff?
It is a new tariff from npower that delivers a total dual fuel annual discount of up to £250 Exc. VAT (up to £125 per fuel)†.
Who is eligible?
If you have a gross annual household income of less than £13,500 and where someone in the household meets at least one of the eligibility criteria below:
- aged over 60
- disabled
- suffers from a chronic illness
- a child under 16
When will the discount be paid?
If you sign up to the tariff on or after the 1st of January 2009 you will receive your first benefit from the tariff from the 1st April 2009 onwards.†
Customers signing up to the tariff before the 1st of January 2009 will receive a one off discount of £125 per fuel on the first bill after 1st January 2009. The next benefit from the tariff will also be from the 1st April 2009 onwards.†
If you pay for your energy via a prepayment meter we may choose to send the benefit of the tariff to you rather than credit it to your account.

†npower's Spreading Warmth Tariff is subject to availability and applied at the sole discretion of npower. The tariff benefits may be altered which may have the effect of reducing or otherwise affecting the amount and manner of payment. It is for domestic customers of npower satisfying the eligibility criteria set out above. May not be available with some other tariffs. Confirmation of eligibility will be required.
