Aims of the scheme...

This scheme aims to:

• Work in partnership to help improve warmth, comfort and quality of life for vulnerable people whose health is adversely affect by cold and damp living conditions.
• Form links with existing key community workers who can identify people with cold and damp related illnesses and refer them to the scheme
• Seek the most appropriate measures, help and advice according to each clients needs
• Provide access, depending on circumstances, to the npower HTW Crisis Fund to help finance measures for people who meet the schemes criteria but are not eligible for statutory grants
• Track all referrals until completion & provide feedback to referrers
• Monitor and evaluate the scheme and regularly report findings to stakeholders

HTW is not tenure specific and clients do not need to be or become npower customers but they should live in one of the HTW operational areas, have a cold and damp related illness and be referred to the scheme by a known HTW referrer. Self referrals from the general public are not accepted.
