Working in partnership
Key to the success of HTW and our ability to reach the people most in need are the strong partnerships we have built up in each of our operational areas which embrace local authorities, Primary Care Trusts, voluntary and not-for-profit agencies.
The excellent working relationships developed with these organisations, each with their own agendas but with many similar cross-cutting themes, have enabled a co-operative approach and a pooling of resources for the benefit of community members.
Vulnerable people who have been assisted by HTW might otherwise have remained isolated and unable to access services, missing out on a warmer, more comfortable home and improved quality of life.
“The house would get very cold as it couldn’t maintain the heat which was escaping through the walls and roof. The insulation has made a dramatic difference. I only need to keep the heating on for a couple of hours in the morning and the house remains warm throughout the day, which is fantastic.
“I’m not particularly mobile at the moment and can spend long periods sitting, so it’s made things much easier for me now that the house is nice and warm.”
